|
Dark Vengeance is a game published by MacSoft for the Apple Macintosh. This is the jewel-cased version (with printed manual).
Dark Vengeance thrusts players into a fantasy world held captive by a magical eclipse that has engulfed the land in a sea of violence.
Banished to underground caverns, a renegade band of elves, the 'Dark Elves,' have risen to the surface to take their revenge on the people of Amagar.
Choosing one of three unique player-characters, each with their own fighting style, players are challenged to vanquish the evil Dark Elf forces and end the bloody chaos.
The game features a wide array of exciting features, including:
- Fully immersive 3D world created with Reality Bytes' state-of-the-art game engine that provides graphically lavish environments, characters, objects, weaponry, projectiles and special effects - all with realistic physics;
- 32-player Deathmatch style and team network gaming via the Internet, featuring dramatically different fighting styles and attacks, bringing a unique multiplayer experience not possible in first-person gaming;
- Revolutionary 64-player Voyeur mode, enabling people to watch the action unfold from within the eye of the multiplayer storm;
- Three different characters to choose from, each with their own fighting style and reason for seeking revenge, which is told through an evolving storyline that unfolds throughout the game. In addition, each character acquires new weapons and improves their skills throughout the game, adding replay value for players;
- More than 30 weapons, including the Vampire Staff, Living Flame and Fiery Fist, and more than 30 enemies, including Dark Elves, Undead Knights, Woodbots and Demons
- 16 levels, including unique character-specific missions and storylines.
